Miche Hoffer has been my personal trainer for the past 6 months. I was referred to Miche by my husband, a client of Miche for 2 years, who thinks very highly of Miche's levelheaded approach to health and fitness.
Miche's been helping me with my work out AND diet. Suffice it to say that since working with Miche, I have lost 10 pounds, my cholesterol level has come down 29 points, and my cholesterol HDL ratio has gone down from very high to low.
I think the secret to Miche's success is his ability to listen, a rarity these days, and adjust his program to his client's specific needs.

Michrofit circuits are both excellent and fun. I really feel the difference if I attend regularly. They keep me strong and fit so I am energized all day and can achieve much more in my work and leisure activities. Miche is extremely personable and good at what he does and Rowe runs the business with 100% efficiency.
Attending Michrofit circuits regularly is an excellent way to ensure I keep fit even when my workload is so high that it is difficult to find time for other regular daily exercise.
The small group size enables Miche to give everyone individual attention and to personally tailor the workout for each person. The exercises can be as easy or difficult as each person prefers so everyone can progress at the rate that is right for them.
Sharing the session with a small number of other clients keeps the cost down and makes the sessions extremely good value for money. In addition, the presence of several other clients in the same session makes for an enjoyable social experience and I have made several good friends and useful contacts there.
I have been attending Michrofit circuits for over 7 years now and have every intention of continuing until I, Miche and Rowe are all toted off to retirement homes in wheelchairs. Naturally that will be much later than for the average person because we are all so fit!

I've been training with Miche for 3 years. Without a doubt, he is the absolute best I've ever experienced and I have worked with other personal trainers. No matter what your goals may be, you can trust that you are in capable, conscientious and knowledgeable hands. When I first started training with Miche, I could no longer run because of knee issues. As a result of training with Miche, I lost some weight, gained tone and strength and now am able to run pain free. In fact, I completed my first sprint triathlon and half-marathon since beginning my training and I owe that to Miche's expertise and support. I'm not obsessive, just want to have a lifestyle of fitness and have fun while I'm doing it. If you want someone who can professionally guide you toward making good choices about how to achieve your personal best and stay motivated in the process, make some other sacrifices with your money and invest in some training right now. Training with Miche either at his gym at his home, your home or other site means a creative workout that will push and challenge, but not overwhelm you. Sure, you could join a gym for cheaper but I can predict you won't stick with it nor get the benefit you would training one on one with Miche. Believe me, I've tried that too! And, to top it off, he is a genuine, caring and thoughtful person. He's got good business sense, is trustworthy and always professional. What more could you ask for?

I started circuit training class with Miche on the recommendation of a good friend who likes to work out outdoors, as I do. I am a middle-aged woman who's done gym workouts and personal training, and regularly hike, walk and swim. I have a couple of old injuries which Miche brilliantly works around. I always get a good work-out, which is challenging and fun. I have never felt completely confident and safe in the hands of trainer until Miche. It doesn't hurt that he's also smart, self-effacing and funny. All this from a former Olympic decathlete! Rowe, his wife and business partner, knows her way around a gym, too. She sometimes assists with the classes, illustrating exercises, and showing people how to modify to fit their needs/injuries/abilities. The circuit classes and personal training sessions are a BARGAIN for the quality and level of instruction offered. Just do it!

Miche and Rowe have a very unique training practice. I participate in 1:1 personal training sessions with Miche and join the circuit training groups. Miche has really pushed me beyond what I thought I am capable of. As a result I have seen great improvements in my skiing ability and tennis game. I am able to ski any terrain and even have attempted to jump a few cornices off the top of Kirkwood. Also, the circuit training sessions have been fun for me. I work out with various people of all abilities and Miche and Rowe make the sessions different every time that I never get bored. MichRoFit is the best training team I have ever been with! Keep going guys!

It's been (gulp) almost two years now since I've been working out with Miche, and I hope he will help keep me in shape for at least another twenty.
I've been through about half a dozen trainers of the years, and have never worked with anyone as reliable, professional, knowledgeable, and personable as Miche. Although he was a world-class athlete, he never makes the mistake of coasting on his credentials or assuming that his own athletic prowess automatically qualifies him to train us lesser mortals. He really devotes himself to his job, not just by staying on top of the fitness literature and trying out new techniques and equipment, but by trying to tailor his approach to each individual client's needs. (I know this because my own needs have evolved a lot over time - beginning with my pregnancy and post-partum "hiatus" two years ago - and Miche has always been incredibly accommodating and helpful in getting me back on track.)
He is remarkably inventive in finding new ways to use the same old (very basic) set of equipment in my garage, and has a great "sixth sense" for just how far to push me, so that I exert that last bit of effort but don't inadvertently strain certain muscles that are prone to injury. (Although I occasionally get stiff necks, I get them less frequently now because of the care he takes not to risk injury.) He is also just an all-around nice guy whose friendly, upbeat manner makes even the toughest workouts seem (relatively) painless.
In short, after my uneven experiences with prior trainers, I still count my lucky stars that I finally found my way to Miche!

MichRoFit! What an awesome hubby and wife team. They are both fitness fanatics and it shows in their enthusiasm and dedication. They transfer this into their Circuit sessions. Miche designs the workouts and Rowe runs the back office in addition to participating at the trainings.
They are an inspiration to those in the class.
I love to be outside and have never wanted to be stuck in a gym for hours each week.
Miche's Circuit sessions are all done outside, which for me makes the session that much more enjoyable.
I have seen huge improvement in my cardio and strength. Now I'm a MichRoFit fanatic!!!

I hate exercising and I love to eat. What's a girl to do? get a personal trainer!
Miche keeps it interesting week after week with various different exercises tailored to your needs. My weekly hour of "torture" is not only rewarding, but also yields results.
I'm usually a 6 second quitter so I have waited 4 months before writing this review. As of now, I'm still steaming ahead. Since May, I have noticed substantial growth in muscle tone and strength. Sure I haven't lost as much weight as I wanted to, but with Miche kicking my butt every week I'm sure I'll get there soon.
Miche also makes me keep a food journal so that I can be more aware of what I stuff into my mouth. He is very knowledgeable and provides great tips on ways to change your lifestyle.
Other than personal sessions, Miche also has "circuit" classes on MWS. These circuits consists of about 7 people and it's great to work out with others who have similar goals and aspirations. The group dynamic is fun and encouraging. Once in awhile, as a bonus, Miche and Rowe's adorable twins will make an appearance.
Many patrons have been with Miche for 4 or 5 years -- their dedication is proof that MichRoFit is consistently challenging and worthwhile. I highly recommend MichRoFit to anyone who's looking for a challenge while keeping it interesting and fun or simply to stay fit so you can devour more delicious goodness!

Pop quiz! I'm going to get back to working out. (No, really, I am.) (Stop snickering, will you?) Should I:
(A) Attempt to kick my own *** at the gym multiple times each week;
(B) Trust my health to one of the overweight, underage "trainers" employed by said gym;
(C) Put my fitness in the hands of a certified personal trainer and champion decathlete who is built like a nordic deity and simply radiates health?
In truth, I first chose (A). It was, um, a poor choice. I then came to my senses and chose (C). I have chosen wisely. Miche (say MEE-kay) Hoffer of MichRoFit is an amazing trainer: experienced, smart, and truly interested in helping you safely achieve your own personal best.
I'm not sure whether Miche's greatest asset is his extensive knowledge -- what would you expect from a professional athlete whose career revolved around cross-training? -- or his quiet but firm motivation. His positive attitude is infectious, his demeanor is relaxed and fun, and yet I never forget that I'm working out with a highly trained professional, not a buddy. In fact, the workouts are so enjoyable it's almost (but not quite) a surprise when I'm so deliciously sore the next day. And it's great to be getting good solid coaching on such basic exercises as squats, cleans and presses -- not swept away in whatever the fitness trend du jour is.
I work out with Miche at their small but efficient private gym, but he does travel to clients' homes and other sites, and he and his partner Rowe Hoffer also lead group classes. I haven't worked out with Rowe -- with a background in volleyball and kickboxing, she's more oriented toward female "weekend warriors."
After about four weeks, I definitely feel and see results; and most telling, my overall energy and mood have improved and I really look forward to working out with Miche each week. Whether you're training for a specific sport or just for general fitness, if you're stuck with something resembling (A) or (B) above, cut your losses and call Miche today.

Now that I've clicked 5 stars, the burden is on me to prove my case. First, let me start by disclosing that I'm part of that diverse group of circuit trainers. I fall into the grandmother category. A grandmother who thinks she's much younger and has many more productive years ahead and I'd better not blow it!
I met Miche through Rowe at a time when I had reverted to do-it-yourself training with not-so-great results. My good friend and former trainer had retired, and I just didn't trust most of the so-called trainers in the gym.
I signed up for a Saturday Circuit series. This is what I learned: Miche is smart, engaging, professional and committed to giving his clients their best workout on any given day. It doesn't matter if you're a semi-delusional grandma like me, or a talented athlete in your prime, he will see to it that you are challenged to capacity. The end result leaves you feeling really good ... yes, a little sore and maybe tired ... but no question about that euphoric feeling at the end of the workout.
Euphoria leads to commitment - at least it did on my part - and got me into a second circuit class. With a little encouragement from Rowe, I started running. (Gasp, can it be???) Many friends and both ex-husbands would be shocked to hear that I'm training for a 10K this year!!!
If you've made it this far down in the review, maybe you're already thinking about personal training, or trying one of the circuit training classes. Consider this a recommendation.

I started working out with Miche (One half of MichRoFit) around a year back. Not only have I stared working out more often (4-5 times a week now) but I take a lot more interest in all things fitness-related - diet, supplements, other forms of exercise etc.
Miche used be a top notch decathelete in Sweden. I believe his overall scores were better than a quite a few scores at this years Olympics.
What I really like is that I can train with him, 1:1, at his private gym and he knows my strengths, weaknesses and general goals. Not to mention that we're gotten friendly over the past year or so and if it wasn't for our conflicting schedules we would probably hang out a lot more outside of training.
All-in-all, a highly recommended, knowledgeable, humble and hard working team (Miche and his wife Rowe - hence the name MichRoFit I'm assuming).

I am one of Miche's former
trainees now living in NYC. I have yet to find a trainer as
awesome and hard working as Miche in this entire city. I had
a great time at both his Circuit classes and personal training
sessions!!! I have trained with many professionals and also
competed in the 2000 Olympic Games for fencing and Miche is
by far one of the best trainers out there!!!

want to encourage anyone considering MichRoFit Circuit to come
on out. I admit it’s been years since I’ve
worked out. Circuit has been exactly the right way to get back
into a healthy lifestyle. I look forward to the sessions and
have been more diligent in living healthy the rest of the week.
Group size is just right. Trainers do an excellent job of providing
individual feedback within a small group environment. The exercises
are the same for everyone; but you set your own pace according
to your skills and level.

commented on it. I find that it is very beneficial to have
the personal attention as we do. I also find that it is important

I think
that this is one of the best workouts that I have been to in
this country. They do an excellent job of providing
enough exercises to keep people active, and allowing them to
maintain a pace that suits them...plus Miche Hoffer is a virtual
encyclopedia of information regarding all things fitness!!

Your MichRoFit Circuit is awesome!
My major exercises in the past have been Mountain and Road biking, rollerblading,
and
running. Your class has made all my muscle groups stronger,
plus my cardiovascular condition has increased multi-fold.
I really appreciate the personal attention each participant
gets during the workouts. I feel that even with a permanently
damaged lower back, I never have to worry about my form in
each exercise as you two always make sure that we keep the
correct form and that we don’t “over do” ourselves.
You always have a variation of each exercise; to ensure participants
still get the muscles working based on condition and level
the participants are in. My biking has improved due to stronger
abs and lower back muscles. I also feel so good after each
workout, as we have so much fun while we are pushing ourselves
to the limit! It’s always fun to come to Circuit. Both
of you are great and inspire us all to get fit and to stay
fit. Keep up the good work.

I´m
in my 40s, and only women can understand how hard it is to
STAY in shape at this age. I was trying to work
on my own by watching my diet and power
walking. But I saw real results only after I started working out with Rowe
as my personal trainer. We were able to keep my weight the same but I dropped
down one clothing size. Again, only women can understand that! My arms, legs
and back are so much stronger now (and look very defined and toned!), thanks
to working out with Rowe. She is sensitive, a good-listener, and fun to work
with!

and training helped
me improve my performance at Masters track and field nationals by over 10%,
which gave me a top 5 finish in my age group.

Before meeting Rowe, I was not motivated at all to do any form of exercising. Rowe made exercising fun in her cardio kick boxing class. She'll definitely push you, but at the same time she somehow makes it enjoyable. I can't explain it, you just have to train with her to understand!
